Just in time for Fall, this treadle sewing machine pieced and hand quilted Lone Star inspires thoughts of the season.  The colors are warm and earthy in 'high end' fabrics of elegant 'oriental' prints with metallic accents set in a cream/beige marbleized background fabric.  It is a strikingly beautiful quilt, expertly pieced and accentuated in lovely traditional hand quilting motifs of intricate feather circles and half circles in the inset blocks defining the star.  Smaller eight point stars accent the pillow portion, and there is a gorgeous framing border using the same floral print that appears in the star patches.  The borders are exquisite, quilted in a wavy rope and diagonal slashing--there is no shortage of quilting.  The binding is a soft light Olive green color.
