A beautiful example of the Old-Order Amish quilting tradition, this Carpenter's Wheel bespeaks everything we have come to expect in an Amish quilt:  The use of solid colors that compliment one another perfectly to give depth and drama to the design, no busy prints to distract the eye from the angles and shape of the pattern; a complex piecing project that requires attention to detail and advanced sewing skills; and hundreds of yards of gorgeous quilting at 8-9 stitches per inch.  Across the years we have highlighted several of the quilt projects Katie has used to teach and challenge the sewing skills of her daughters learning the art of precision piecing.  Katie is a stickler for the details, and that is never more obvious then seeing the workmanship in  this complicated and tricky Carpenters Wheel pattern, expertly accomplished.
