Accurately marking a whole cloth quilt is not for the faint-hearted.  There are no colors and patterns to conceal errors as with a pieced project.  The quilting must stand on it's own merit on a whole cloth quilt. An improperly marked whole cloth will not achieve a balanced design, and all of the minor errors will be painfully obvious. For this reason, in addition to the tops featured below, we also offer whole cloth tops that are already marked and ready for quilting. Our whole cloth tops are marked with a proper quilting pencil, not the water-soluble markings of commercially prepared tops which are humidity sensitive, and all the markings on the top can disappear overnight, a devastating scenario but unfortunately, not uncommon.
